If you're looking for alternative Christmas dessert ideas, then check out these fabulous show stopping dessert recipes.  There's sure to be something for everyone!

collage of dessert recipes

Although I'm a huge fan of Christmas Puddings, I'm completely aware that they aren't to everybody's liking and that includes some of the members of my family too. So as Christmas is a time for indulgence I always like to serve a choice of desserts. That way everyone is happy and that's the main thing.

So, with that in mind, I have gathered together some amazing alternatives to the traditional Christmas Pudding courtesy of some top food bloggers to share with you.

There is sure to be something for everyone in this collection now the only difficulty may lie in narrowing it down to just one or two!

Trifle

I'm kicking off this round-up with a selection of trifles to choose from. Trifle on Christmas day is a must in our household. I can not remember a Christmas without one from the jelly and blancmange based trifles of my childhood to the more sophisticated concoctions I serve today they probably remain my all time favourite dessert.

What an amazing roundup - and such a great idea! I am very much a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas...it't got to be Christmas pudding for me! But I have a hard time persuading the rest of my family...who would all much prefer my chocolate tart - thanks so much for including it 🙂 I like the look of a lot of these, but I think my favourite has to be Bintu's amazing Orange Bundt Cake! Just WOW...and did someone say whisky?? 😉 Eb x

I completely agree Eb, it has to be Christmas Pudding for me too - but there's so many people which don't share our love of it so I thought it be great to pull a lot of alternatives together.... this all said you're family definitely have a point about Chocolate Tart! I mean how shiny is that ganache! Gorgeous! Hahaha, doesn't Bintu's bundt cake just look AND sound amazing!

We were the same Helen, it always had to be Christmas Pudding when we were young, with custard like you say! But since getting married we've had different things for Christmas dessert cos hubby claims he doesn't like it (though he cleared off the portion of homemade Xmas pud pretty swiftly the other day!)
